Karin Rex is a nationally known technology trainer
and frequent speaker on various facets of the Internet, as well as other
technology-related topics. Since 1989, Karin has owned
ComputerEase, a computer training
and technical writing firm based in Pennsylvania, where she devotes her time
to writing, course development, consulting, teaching, and speaking.
Karin is the author of several technology-related books, including the
following: Internet Search Techniques (Ziff-Davis Publishing, now in
its third edition), The Internet Illuminated (Skillpath
Publications), and Computers in Clinical Practice (American College
of Physicians). In addition to the books listed, Karin has written hundreds
of user guides, reference manuals, tutorials, and course manuals for a wide
variety of clients. Her future goals include a syndicated column and
mainstream (i.e. non-geeky) magazine writing.
Karin is a pioneer in online learning, having been involved since 1996 as a
course developer and instructor for Element K, SmartPlanet, and Powered,
Inc. (the creative force behind online universities for HP, Sony, and
CodeWarrier, among others).
